The Momday That's Enough (& Then Some!)
Happy Momday!
For the past several months, every time I clean a seldom-used bathroom I see my Christmas sign that is still hanging, "Gratitude turns what we have into enough." I think to myself, those words could not be more true and I should probably take down this print since Christmas is over. But then being thankful shouldn't be limited to holidays, as I feel blessed on Mondays too.
Thirty-four years ago on Easter, I became engaged to my best friend. Not only am I grateful for him but also our daughters and the life we created. It's not always been easy or perfect but it's our story and it's more than enough.
I'm loving our current chapter as grandparents. We are totally smitten with our sweet Em and I'm so grateful God put her in our lives. Nothing is better than her holding my finger and walking together. Nothing is better than her excitement over wearing her rain boots (even when the sun is shining). Nothing is better than her infectious smile. Nothing is better than just being in the moment with her. She is enough… And then some.
Yesterday, my daughter informed me that I still have my Christmas picture up in the bathroom. I just smiled.
