Happy Momday (With “Moore” Love!)

“Young Love” is our song. It could have been written about us.

How ironic that the first line so aptly applies - “Your daddy thought I was wrong for you”. One evening when my husband and I first started dating, we walked into my house hearing my dad say, “What’s he doing here?” We recently celebrated our thirty-fourth wedding anniversary so now we just laugh.

We were married at 19 and 20 so wow, I’ve been married almost two-thirds of my life! It’s a good thing I really love this guy ;). But how could I not? He is the best father and “bapa” so I not only scored, but my girls did too.

He still opens my car door. He brings me flowers just because. He gives me Starbursts instead of diamonds. He shares his cake frosting. He puts toothpaste on my brush. It was written in the stars and my Happy Lappe cup is full.

It’s real, it’s good, and it’s still young love!
